The New Head Coach
Liam Manning was born in Norwich on 20 August 1985. He played for the Norwich City academy before joining the Ipswich Town ranks in 2002. He spent one year as a professional for Ipswich before being released in 2005. He spent time playing in Iceland with Selfoss for a year before returning to coach at the Ipswich Town academy in 2006.

During his time in the Ipswich Town academy he progressed from Head Coach of the under 13's to Lead Youth Development coach. In 2015 Liam joined West Ham United as Academy assistant manger before taking the role of Head of Coaching and finally managing the Under 23's. Manning was part of the set up at West Ham that won the 2016 Premier Cup and promotion to Premier League 2 Division One.

Manning moved again in 2019, this time to America, as Director of Coaching for New York City Academy before being named Academy Director. During his short time in the US, Manning led NYCFC to a second consecutive U.S. Soccer Development Academy Under-19 National Championship.

The next summer in 2020, Manning took charge of Belgium side Lommel SK and was tasked with a massive rebuilding job with a side who had won 6 games in 2019/2020. As well as implementing a new style of play, he also guided them to a third-place finish, one spot shy of a promotion play-off place.

On 13 August 2021, Liam Manning was named as the new MK Dons Head Coach replacing the departed Russell Martin. He instantly bought in Chris Hogg as his Assistant Head Coach. Hogg joined MK Dons from the Newcastle United Academy while his playinng career was mainly spent at Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League.
