EFL1: How they finished
Robbie was born in Paisley on 19 June 1980 and played as a defender. He was originally attached to Rangers, the team he supported, through their Boys Club system. He joined Hearts Youth Academy at 16 as he felt it offered him a better chance of eventual first-team football. He had time on loan at Cowdenbeath in 1999.
In August 2002 he went to Queen of the South on loan, making 17 appearances for them, including a man of the match performance at Clyde. He returned to Tynecastle in January 2003. On 4 February 2009 he was made Hearts' captain after the departure of Christophe Berra.
Robbie signed a three-year contract with Leicester City in May 2009 but after a year he was dropped from the first team and was then loaned to Brentford before being given a free transfer in the summer of 2011. He played for Dundee United during the 2011–12 season, and later for Falkirk and East Fife.
He was capped 10 times as a Scotland under-21.and won his only full Scotland cap in a 2–0 Euro 2008 qualifying defeat by Ukraine in Kiev in October 2006.
He became Hearts' head coach in 2014, winning the Scottish Championship title in his first season, and joined MK Dons as manager on 2 December 2016. He was sacked on 22 January 2018 after a run of poor performances.
Stevie started his playing career as a striker with Raith Rovers, winning the 1994 Scottish League Cup and playing in the UEFA Cup.
He later played for Millwall, Hibernian, Dunfermline Athletic, Plymouth Argyle, Dundee United, Aberdeen, East Fife, Cowdenbeath and Forfar Athletic and won 25 caps for Scotland.
He became manager of East Fife in April 2009, then assistant manager at Falkirk in 2011 and Hearts in 2014, before moving to MK with Robbie in December 2016.
He was sacked along with Robbie Neilson on 22 January 2018.
