Dan is the son of Italian parents and, although
born in England, he had a healthy obsession
with Italian football, often visiting his parent’s
homeland with his brother to indulge in the
country’s biggest derbies.
He attended Loughborough University and
the University of Liverpool achieving Master's
degrees in both International Management
and Football.
After coaching spells with Crystal Palace
and Tottenham Hotspur’s academies, he joined
MK Dons in October 2007 as Assistant Academy
Manager, and was later promoted to Head of
Academy Coaching. England international Dele
Alli credits him as being key in his development as a footballer.
Dan left the Dons in August 2013 to join the FA as Coach and Player Development Technical Lead concentrating on the development of England national team players and coaches in the U12 to U16 age group.
He was appointed as manager of the England U16 national team in 2015, winning the Nike International Tournament Cup that year with victories over teams including Brazil U17 and tournament hosts USA U17. Several players he coached in the U16 age group who progressed into the England U17 team went on to win the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Dan left the FA by mutual consent on 21 December 2017 and rejoined the Dons as First Team Manager on 23 January. After a string of poor results, with the Dons 23rd in the table, he was sacked on 22 April.
OUT
Keith was born in Croydon on 26 September
1966. After spells as an apprentice at
Southampton and Crystal Palace, he spent
time as a junior at Brentford, turning
professional in 1983 and making 305 League
appearances for the club before joining
Watford in 1994, and Bristol City in 1999.
After retiring as a player in 2003 he became
under-17 manager at Bristol City and assistant
first team manager the next year. He had two
spells as caretaker manager in 2005 and 2010
before getting the job permanently in 2010. He
left City in October 2011.
After a spell as Head of Coaching and Development at Blackpool in 2012 he followed manager Ian Holloway to Palace as his Assistant Manager in November 2012, On 23 October 2013, he was appointed caretaker manager after Holloway left.
He remained assistant manager after the arrival of Tony Pulis in November and had two further spells as caretaker manager in 2014 following the departures of Pulis and Neil Warnock.
After the appointment of Sam Allardyce as manager on 9 January 2017, it was announced that Keith had left Palace.
He then worked with Tottenham Hotspur’s development squad before moving to MK Dons as Assistant Manager on 23 January 2018. After Dan Micciche’s sacking, he was named caretaker manager for the last three games of the season.
