For our Tuesday night clash with Shrewsbury Town we have Leigh Doughty from Lancashire as the man in charge.
The last time we saw Mr Doughty was back on February 29th, 2020 when we were away to Rotherham and drew 1-1. The goals game from Freddy Ladapo in the 10th minute, with Rhys Healey equalising in the 22nd minute, at the time Rotherham were top of the table on 62 points, we were in 18th on 37 points.
Mr Doughty booked four people that day including Jordan Moore-Taylor and George Williams.
Ref Doughty has officiated at 18 games this season and is rarely seen in League 1 as he appears to be on the EFL Fast Track to bigger and better things, this is just his second season at this level.
In those 18 games Mr Doughty has shown the yellow card on 61 occasions, and the red card twice, the last of which was last weekend when he sent Huddersfield’s Harry Toffolo from the field of play in the final minute of their away clash at Luton Town.
Assisting on the flags are Adam Crysell and Matt Jones, with Mark Russell taking care of the 4th Official duties.
