First Impressions of the stadium, parking, ease of entry.9The Mazuma is a fairly new stadium. There’s parking on site and so the coach passengers had a short walk around the stadium. The stewards opened a side door to allow the drum to be placed inside until the turnstiles opened. Supporters took refuge from the cold wind in the nearby pub.
Food & Drink, range, quality, price.6I didn’t eat but the kiosk board listed the usual range of food and drink which was reasonably priced. Service was slow and I understand that the hot food ran out at half time.
View from your seat, any poles in the way, obstructed view, seat broken?7We were located at the end of the main stand furthest away from the home terrace. It’s the only stand in the ground with seats. The view was fairly good but if the allocated area was full some supporters at the back of the stand would struggle to see one corner of the pitch around the protruding gantry.
Home team support, was it a library, good banter between the fans?6The home terrace behind the goal had a drum and a trumpet could occasionally be heard although not on the same level as the England band. I don’t think that there was much banter exchange, and the home support weren’t very vocal.
What were the stewards like, helpful and friendly or jobsworths?9The stewards were very polite and pleasant. As previously stated, they allowed the drum to be put inside the ground before the turnstiles opened, and on our departure, we were wished a safe journey home. On hand to help a supporter with the door of the accessible toilet when the concourse was busy.
Toilet facilities, clean and well equipped with hot water, disgusting.8Toilets were clean, in good repair and there was hot water. A separate accessible toilet was in the same area.
Ticket pricing, did the price reflect the facilities of the ground?7£25 for an adult is one of the more expensive tickets this season but it can be argued reflect the facilities.
Ground facilities, half time service, did they let fans outside at halftime?7Fans were allowed out to smoke. I suspect the concourse area could get very busy if the stand was full. Generally, well maintained.
Match atmosphere, did the Dons fans give good support?8The 257 away fans who made it to the ground made plenty of noise throughout despite, or perhaps because of, the very cold & windy conditions.
Ease of exit, did the carpark clear quickly, traffic around the stadium?9Exit from the ground and car park was quick with minimal congestion.
