Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual campaign created by The Mental Health Foundation to focus on achieving good mental health. Each year, a theme is set, and this year, it is Anxiety
Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all. However, sometimes, it can get out of control and become a mental health concern. Many things can lead to feelings of anxiety, including relationships, workloads, starting a new job (or losing one), or other big life events. We can also get anxious when it comes to day to day living.
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health concerns we can face, and it’s important to recognise this. Within the workplace, 60% experience at least mild symptoms of anxiety, according to research from the Workplace Health Report 2023.
This Mental Health Awareness Week connect with someone you think might be feeling the effects of anxiety. When feeling anxious a chat can make all the difference. Speak to a friend or a Mental Wellbeing Champion, do not suffer alone.
