As you will all know the reopening of the Fan Bar on Level 3 didn’t go as planned for the Spurs game, but we are aiming to put that right on Saturday with our first home league game against Sunderland.
The MKDSA have had several discussions with the club regarding the errors made and we have made several observations and suggestions to the club to make sure nothing like that happens again and I’m pleased to say the club have taken everything on board and are working closely with us to get it right.
The bar will open from 12-30 on matchday via Gate 5 and the dedicated turnstile, stewards will be briefed and should be able to assist you if you are not sure how to gain entry, the early kick off will be showing in the bar and bar staff will be wearing Dons shirts. In addition, after 1-30pm access can also be gained from the concourse via the shuttered entrance at Gate 5, once again there should be signage and stewards in place at the entry point.
We have already requested that fans donate items that we can put on display to make it feel like our home. Dons football shirts framed or unframed, leisure wear, flags, scarves, banners, or anything really that we could put on display, and I’m pleased to say we have already had many donations and offers from fans and the club to help, but we would like more if you can spare them.
We are asking people, if possible, to drop any items off at the Club Shop before Friday, marked FAO the MKDSA. On Friday the MKDSA committee will be at the stadium decorating the bar with your donations, hopefully you will be pleased with our efforts.
If you cannot get items to us before Friday, we will also be taking donations of memorabilia at the MKDSA stand in the Fan Bar on Saturday or any other matchday, and we will get on show for the next home game.
For those of you that have already signed up to become MKDSA members for this season, you can collect your membership cards in the Fan Bar, and you can also sign up in person, its quick and easy and we will be happy to help you, and your membership cards will be ready for collection at the next home game.
We hope you can join us on Saturday and the rest of the season, we really need to make this work if we are going to get further investment into the facilities.
