REF WATCH ACCRINGTON – MKDSA – Milton Keynes Dons Supporters Association.

REF WATCH ACCRINGTON

The focus has been off our allocated refs lately, with the main attention given to our poor run, and discussion centring on our style of play and formation. To be fair the only issue I can think off recently is the overrun of time in the Oxford game that allowed then to equalise and the debatable issue of should Fisher have been shown the red card for his challenge possibly denying a goal scoring opportunity.

On Saturday we face an Accrington side that have put in some superb results but are equally capable of putting in a poor one, as their result against Bristol rovers showed on Tuesday night.

The man in the middle will be Dean Whitestone from Northamptonshire and it’s less than two months since we saw him last when he figured in the 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Charlton Athletic.

Mr Whitestone mainly officiates in the Championship, and only occasionally soils his hands at this lowly level. He has officiated at 25 games this season, as well as his numerous 4th official duties in the Premiership. He has issued 47 yellow cards, 1 double yellow dismissal, 2 red cards, and awarded 4 penalties.

He will be assisted on the flags by Mark Jones and Nik Barnard, whilst Rob Smith attends to the 4th Official duties.
