Callum’s Stockport Ground Guide

Stockport County, known as the Hatters, have played at their home ground, Edgeley Park, since 1902.

Their stadium boasts a capacity of 10,841, and MK Dons have already sold out their away allocation, with the club requesting more tickets in the coming days.

Stockport fell into non-league in 2011 after previously spending 106 years in the football league, returning in the 2022/23 season.

Away fans will be seated in the Together Stand, and MK Dons fans will be in full voice to aid their team in their aim for promotion straight back to League One.

According to the MK Dons official website, tickets are priced at £22 for adults, £16 for over-65s and students, U17s at £10, U14s at £8 and U5s at £2. Please note that U14s must be accompanied by a responsible adult when you buy tickets.

Edgeley Park is one mile from Stockport Town Centre and a ten-minute walk from the train station.

If you travel by car, use the postcode SK3 9DD, but be aware that you need to park in the pay and display car parks as there will be no public car parking available on game days.

Disabled parking bays are available and sold subject to availability. Please call the ticket office at 0161 266 2700 to check availability.

Disabled access is from Gate E along Hardcastle Road, where a steward will escort you to the Together Stand. Please note that this access point is step-free, making it accessible for everyone.

The quickest car journey to the stadium will take two hours and 49 minutes if you use the M6, three hours and eight minutes via the M1, and three hours and 14 minutes if you use the M1 and the A50.

Any tickets that haven’t been collected before matchday will travel with your official coach to Edgeley Park and can be picked up from the away ticket office once the coach has arrived.

Food in the stadium will be priced around five pounds for a pie and it will cost around £3.50 if you want to drink a pint on the concourse, with matchday programmes costing £3 if they are something that you collect.

If you want to drink at any away pubs before the game, two pubs are under a 20-minute walk from Edgeley Park. Nelson Tavern is 0.6 miles away from the stadium and Calverts Court (Wetherspoons) is about 1.1 miles away.

Everyone at the MK Fellas and the MKDSA would like to wish safe travels to anyone going to Stockport County this weekend, and as the game is on Sky Sports, kick-off will be at 5:15 pm.
