The MKDSA were saddened to learn earlier today of the passing of Phil Smith.
Phil was the official club photographer of Wimbledon FC and he was a strong link with the past as he helped lay the foundations we now build on today.
Phil was very supportive of the creation of a supporters association firstly in the blue and yellow and then latterly in the all white we know and live today.
It was a pleasure to hear his many and varied tales and occasionally suffer at his sharp mind and dry sense of humour.
He was responsible for capturing the early years and success we can fondly remember with some truly iconic MK photos.
Phil was seen less and less frequently in recent years as his health failed him but he will always remain dear in our hearts.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Thank you Phil
