Graham Alexander has been nominated for the first Manager of the Month award for League Two. The Dons finished August sitting proudly at the top of the table after winning four of the five league games played.
Victories on the road at the much hyped Wrexham 5-3 on the opening day were followed by wins on the road at Colchester 3-2 and at home against Tranmere 1-0 and Doncaster 2-1.
The only defeat came away at Crawley 2-1.
Also nominated were Neil Harris (Gillingham), Johnnie Jackson (AFC) and former Don, Luke Williams (Notts Co)
The decision will be announced on Friday morning.
