https://www.suttonunited.net/tickets/disabled-supporters/ is the info for disabled fans on Sutton’s webpage.

As some of this info appeared unclear to us and we have no first hand knowledge of the VBS Community Stadium, we emailed Dave Farebrother, Sutton’s Disability Liaison Officer, who happily clarified the following for us.

Blue Badge Parking
There is a small number of spaces available. To reserve you should email dave.farebrother@suttonunited.net These spaces are free of charge but demand is high and they are usually all taken 7/14 days before a match. (Please note Dave will not be available from 7 to 16 September.)

The nearest alternative parking for away fans is at Gibson Road multi-story municipal car park that is 1.3 miles away from the ground. MKDSA are running an accessible bus to the match which can be booked at https://www.tickettailor.com/events/mkdsa (booking will close when all the spaces are taken).

Wheelchair Spaces for Away Fans
Limited to 3 at pitch level (covered) along the park side of the stadium. (Our best interpretation of this is that it is in a home stand but closest to the away end and with easy access to the away fans area where food and drink is available throughout.) These 3 tickets have been reserved for the regular travelling wheelchair fans so there will be no wheelchair tickets on general sale for this fixture.

Flat Access Seating
There is no flat access seating in the away end. People with impaired mobility are advised to purchase tickets in the front two rows.

Audio Described Match Commentaries
Not available.

U’s Memories Project
Scheme that provides wristbands to home and away fans that are at risk of getting disorientated in the stadium, so that they can be recognised and helped by the stewards. If this is something that you would be interested in using, please email info@suttonunited.net at least 48 hours before KO.

If we can be of any further help in respect of visiting Sutton or accessibility issues in general, please do contact us at disabilitymkdsa@gmail.com

Happy travels. See you there.

Jo & Jeff
Disability Officers, MKDSA
