MKDSA Furniture Donation to SET Completed

Following the need to remove the sofa’s from Lewington’s Bar that the MKDSA bought, they have sat gathering dust in a storage area above the Cowshed in StadiumMK.

A decision was taken to try and find a good use of them rather than just see them decay and be unused before having to throw them away.

So after a discussion that was started with SET in late January it was agreed new homes could be found that had some benefit to the football club, in early March it was found and as Kelly Day explains it has now happened.

Dear All at MKDSA

I just wanted to send a letter to thank you for the kind donation of the 5 Sofa’s.

As you may be aware we have taken over some community buildings across Milton Keynes, and have been looking to make the places feel welcoming and comfortable for visitors and the sofa’s have been a very welcome addition for the clients who use the facilities.

We have taken 3 to one site at Woughton on the Green and the other 2 will be placed in the Study Centre at Stadium MK , which we use for various delivery , from Uni Student to veterans as well as out inclusion participants who access out wellbeing sessions.

As a charity we welcome donations and these have certainly added value to what we can deliver enabling the venues feel safe and comfortable for all .

Thank you once again and please feel free to pop along and see them in situ.

Yours

Kelly Day

We hope you agree a good resolution was achieved and use is now being made of our original investment.
