The first signing in the transfer window was introduced to the Dons supporters ahead of the game with Lincoln City.
Signed too late to be included Leko sat out the game which ended 0-0 with the Dons not exactly setting the world alight. He now has a week to settle in and impress Mark Jackson ahead of Saturdays trip to Forest Green Rovers.
Leko originally a West Bromwich Albion player, turns 24 at the end of April. He made his Baggies debut at 16 and has had loan spells with Bristol City and Charlton. He then made a reported £1m switch across to Birmingham City where after a year he was loaned again to Charlton.
In his time at Charlton, the most productive of his career to date, he scored in the 90th minute against the Dons at the Valley in the EFL Trohpy in their 1-0 win, all seven of his career goals have been scored at Charlton.
He’s played for England at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 levels.
We welcome Johnathan and look forward to him helping us win games and stay up this season.
