Ref Watch Cheltenham Town

By The MKDSA Media Team

We have ourselves quite a well known chappie Darren Drysdale. He established himself as a lower league referee in his early days and we saw quite a bit of him.

He hit the headlines for a clash of heads with Ipswich town’s Alan Judge in February 2021, which saw him suspended for around a month. At this time he was making himself a bit of bridesmaid as a Championship level fourth official without getting an appointment in the middle. Even to this day he hasn’t.

Our last expereince of Darren was a Tuesday night trip to Wigan where the Dons toppled the league leaders 1-2 on a warm October night in 2021.

Currently in the four games he’s officiated in this month he’s averaging 2.5 yellows per game. In his eleven games this season he hasn’t shown a single red card. Not sure if we should be worried or not?

Darren’s Assistant Referees are Richard Morris and Ollie Williams and the Fourth Official is Adam Ricketts.
