REF WATCH WATFORD

By WhistleBlower

As usual this season a few brief comments on our last referee Mr Tom Reeves from Warwickshire and his performance on Saturday. Awful, lost control of the game and the players, and not only that got mugged off by their keeper, a lowly 3 for Mr Reeves.

On Tuesday night we travel down to Vicarage Road in great numbers in the Carabao Cup clash with Championship outfit Watford. Dean Whitestone from Northamptonshire is the man in the middle, and we can only think the EFL have read our strongly worded letter about being more environmentally friendly and being a bit more sensible when allocating refs to games, sending refs from Carlisle to ref in Colchester or someone from Plymouth to ref in Sunderland is not on.

Mr Whitestone has reffed just 3 games so far this season booking 8 players, but no double yellows or reds to report, but he has awarded 1 penalty.

Last season he oversaw 33 games with 29 of those in the Championship and booked 99 players, with no double yellows and just 1 red card, but awarded a well above average 11 penalties.

The last time we saw Ref Whitestone was back in January 2021 where we suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Charlton Athletic.

Assisting will be Mark Stevens and Bhupinder Gill on the flags with Keith Stroud as the 4th Official.
