REF WATCH BOLTON

A big game this one, we are on a mission and so are our opponents Bolton Wanderers, so hopefully we won’t be talking about the ref after the game. We therefore put our faith in referee Seb Stockbridge from Tyne & Wear who has been on the EFL books since 1998 and is a frequent visitor to Stadium MK.

The last time we saw Seb was back in November earlier in the season when we beat 11th placed Cambridge United 4-1 at home, but who scored the goals, answers at the bottom of the page, for the record we were 7th at the time.

So far this season he has officiated at 26 games booking 79 players converting one of those into a double yellow / red offence. In addition, he has sent 2 players off this season with straight reds and awarded just a single penalty, which as you would guess is well below average for an EFL referee.

Looking back to that Cambridge United game it was a brace each for Scott Twine (13’ & 36’) and Max Watters (25’ & 76’), with a late consolation for Sam Smith, with just, you’ve guessed it, Big Bad Dave booked for the Dons. Mr Stockbridge will be assisted by Alex James and Conor Farrell on the flags, with SMK regular David Rock as the 4th Official.
