REF WATCH GILLINGHAM

Thankfully another home game and nice to see the New Year in at our own stadium against our opponents Gillingham who are scrapping for their lives down at the bottom of the league table.

The man in the middle is yet another character that we have a love hate relationship with, makes you think the EFL has been lining them up to inflict misery upon us over the festive period, with the likes of Huxtable, Boyeson, and now Charlie Boy Breakspear who is from Surrey all in quick succession.

We have already enjoyed the company this season of Charlie in our 2-1 home win against Charlton Athletic in August, but can you recall the goal scorers, the answer is at the bottom of this article.

Mr Breakspear is a bit of a yellow card machine this season and his first 20 games he had handed out 91 yellows, converting just one of those to a double yellow, and in addition he has shown a straight red once and awarded 3 penalties.

Back to that Charlton game…. remember yet……well Jayden Stockley got the Latics underway after 15 minutes, but Troy Parrott levelled just 3 minutes later after Scot Twine had sent him through one on one with the Charlton keeper, and then on the hour Mo Eisa scored the winning goal to give Liam Manning his first victory as the new Dons manager.

Chris Husband and Stephen Plane are the assistants and David Rock is the 4th official.
