REF WATCH ACCRINGTON

We must be due a controversial referee’s decision in one of our games as we haven’t had one lately, so hopefully we haven’t tempted fate in this weeks look at who is in the middle with the whistle in our game against Accrington Stanley at the wonderfully named Wham Stadium.

Up this week we have Anthony Coggins from Oxfordshire and we haven’t seen him since our 1-0 home defeat to Southend United back in September 2019.

At the time Southend were second from bottom of the table on one point from their last 8 games courtesy of the fact Bolton were on negative points, a victory for the Dons would have placed them 7th instead of the 15th place they found themselves at the final whistle.

Mr Coggins has reffed 10 times this season, plus 3 times as the 4th official and he’s been on a bit of a spree with the yellow cards dishing them out 28 times, plus on 3 occasions handing out a red card for good measure.

He is joined Graeme Fyvie and Mark Cunliffe on the flags, and we have one of MK’s favourite refs as the 4th Official, Seb Stockbridge.
