In our weekly look into the archive, James Rees picks out a programme against out opponents at the weekend, Crewe Alexandra, and to recall what took place that day.
Today’s programme cover is the Crewe V MK Dons game from 2008.
An early goal from Sam Baldock got MK Dons off to a flyer before former Don Mark Carrington’s cross was fired past Willy Gueret after deflecting off Sean O’Hanlon for an own goal.
Just before half time, Shaun Miller squeezed a shot home to give Crewe the lead, but all was not lost for the Dons as Luke Chadwick grabbed an equaliser in the 79th minute to send MK home with a point.
MK Dons Team: Willy Gueret, Sean O’Hanlon, Miquel Llera, Dean Lewington, Mark Wright, Alan Navarro, Peter Leven, Luke Chadwick, Ali Gerba, Sam Baldock.
Subs: Nathan Abbey, Carl Regan, Jude Stirling, Jemal Johnson, Kevin Gallen
Get your head round this: – Miquel Llera stayed at MK Dons for one season, but which team did he join from MK Dons?
