THE MKDSA ARCHIVE – HISTORY IN THE MAKING

If I said to you, “Do you know what the MKDSA Archive is”, there is a strong possibility you wouldn’t know the answer, I confess I didn’t really know myself when I joined the MKDSA committee. Even then for a while after being shown the MKDSA storeroom in the stadium, and I was pointed in the direction of the neatly stacked boxes, all carefully labelled with each season on, I actually thought the archive was the collection of every MK Dons programmes from Day 1 in the National Hockey Stadium, but it is much more than that.

Yes the stored boxes are a physical reminder of our history, and despite what some will tell you, we do have a history, and a fairly good one compared to some that have been going well over 100 years, its actually an extensive online encyclopaedic historical record of everything to do with the MK Dons.

It is a huge database of historical records, cataloguing every result and scorers, every team photo, a detailed timeline picking out significant moments in our history, all the facts about the move from Merton, backed up with documented evidence, all about the National Hockey Stadium and our new home at Stadium MK, awards, statistics, managerial records, club records, detailed analysis of every season, the Accord between the MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon and much, much more.

So, if you are travelling to a game with nothing to do or sitting at home and it is raining outside it really is worth taking a look, it’s a great reference point for everything and anything Dons related.
