Following consultation with the Supporters Board, MK Dons can confirm they have passed responsibility for the operation of the official away travel service to the Milton Keynes Dons Supporters’ Association (MKDSA) for the 2023/24 season.
The MKDSA were asked by the MK Dons Supporters’ Board (SB) to investigate the possibility of operating the official away travel and to report back their findings. After several weeks of research, a detailed proposal paper was presented by the MKDSA to the Supporters’ Board and the Club which has subsequently been approved.
Jim Mann, Chair of the Supporters’ Board, said: “The Supporters Board, at the request of the Club, reviewed the business plan produced by MKDSA and were able to give the club its full support to it. “We believe that it’s a good plan that can deliver benefits to supporters and to the Club.”
MK Dons Director John Cove commented: “The MKDSA presented a well thought-through plan that adopts the current away travel policies of the Club and ensures the continuation of this important service. “The positive comments from the Supporters Board served to underline that this initiative is welcome.”
The Chair of the MKDSA, Franco Volpe, said: “During the close season a team has worked on this project and presented a detailed and financially robust proposal to the Supporters’ Board. “We were charged with continuing the Club’s terms and conditions of travel and to remain
fully inclusive. We have achieved this to the satisfaction of the Club and the Supporters’ Board.”
Full details on how you can book your travel to all MK Dons fixtures in the Sky Bet League Two campaign, and the three cup competitions, will be released in the coming days on both mkdons.com and mkdsa.org.uk.
