Amanda again caught up with Lady Imp Jo Bigger who turned round the questions in record time. Once again we’d like to thank Jo for helping us out.
What were you expecting / hoping for the 22/23 League Campaign? From our previous meeting are you happy?
We came into this season with a new manager (Mark Kennedy) who I think is doing well. Last season we finished 17th, this season I am hoping to improve on this, I would be very happy with around 13th place, looking to further progress next season. Since last time we met we have been unbeaten with 4 draws (we have drawn a lot of games this season!) and 2 wins. Results have improved after the transfer window and Ethan Erhahon has really impressed so I am a lot happier now compared to when we last met.
Are you doing enough to safely stay up?
I would think so, although it is always good to be certain! we are 9 points clear of the relegation battle, currently in 15th place. We are difficult to beat and don’t concede that many goals, equally we could do with scoring more!
Which four teams will go down in your opinion?
It is really tight at the bottom. I would say Forest Green, Cambridge, Morecombe and Accrington. ❤❤❤
Some clubs are already unveiling next season kits. Would you like Lincoln to do that?
I am happy to wait until a bit closer to next season before it is unveiled.
Joe Walsh and Regan Poole how are they still doing for you?
Joe Walsh is currently out injured, having an operation. Such a shame as he is such a talented player. Regan Poole has been fantastic for us this season and last. He will be out of contract in the summer, whilst it would be great if we could keep him the likelihood is he could well go to Championship team, good luck to him if he does, although he will leave a big gap to fill.
Lasse Sorenson, is he getting better?
You know what to expect with Lasse, high energy and happy to put a tackle in. He has his part to play in the team coming off the bench.
You mentioned Harry Boyes last time how is he doing since you signed him?
Harry hasn’t started that many games and so fair to say still settling in. I do like him when he plays but will probably have a clearer view later in the season.
Which players do you expect to cause problems for the Dons (is it different from last time)?
Ben House should be fit, he is really aggressive and presses the defence into making mistakes, we really miss him when he doesn’t play and so he should make an impact. Ethan Erhahon, a player we bought from St Mirren, has been outstanding in mid field, Ted Bishop has really come into his own since playing alongside him so hopefully they will cause problems and Mide Shodipo has been improving all the time.
What is your score prediction for the game?
We are unbeaten at home, this being said we have only won 3 times! so I am hoping for a home win :- 2:1 Lincoln win.
