Franco interviewed a big cheese in all things Exeter City. So here’s what Neil Le Milliere, had to say when he spoke to us. Appreciate the speed and support Neil…top fella him.
Who or what made you support Exeter City? Born and bred and a way of keeping in touch with my roots, moved away fifty four years ago!
Which game/s are you most looking forward to this season apart from the obvious Living in London almost all games are away ones and the long away trips are my favourites so probably Morecambe and/or Fleetwood though good to visit new grounds so going to Barnsley was enjoyable.
From the start of the season until now how have your expectations changed for where you’ll finish in the table? Not so far, expected (or hoped) for mid-table mediocrity/safety and we seem to be on course.
What are your thoughts on your January transfer window? Hate it, inevitable that we lose good players as has happened.
What style of play can the Dons expect from Exeter on Saturday, a high press or tightly knit defence and hit on the break? Really not sure, we currently seen to shape our game to the opposition with the new manager still getting to grips with the squad and new players coming in.
Which Exeter players should we watch out for on Saturday? Nombe is special upfront and Stanfield is a real fighter and still be everywhere if he’s on the pitch.
Where do you think the Dons will finish at the end of the season? I thought you might kick on this season so a little surprised to see you down where you are and expect you to climb the table a bit – but hopefully after Saturday.
If you could have any current Dons player, who would it be? I’ll tell you after Saturday, no one in the radar currently.
Finally, what do you think the score will be? If we play to our potential then I expect a clean sheet and a couple of goals, however if you score first then a hard day for us.
Really appreciate your time Neil, safe journey to all Exeter fans.
