As sunset today in Milton Keynes at 15.51 the Jewish community began to celebrate the recoverring of Jerusalem. Today its seen as a celebration of light ending the darkness.
The lighting of nine branches of the Menorah is a very poignant moment to those observing the celebration.
This year Hanukkah runs from sunset (today) 18/12/2022 until nightfall on 26/12/2022.
