THE HOME PARK STADIUM
A fair effort for a match experience from Plymouth Argyle and the Home Park Stadium, but it couldn’t match Shrewsbury Town who are this seasons Donny & Mooie Trophy winners, we will of course let them know, and if they respond we will publish their response.
Many Thanks to Groundhopper for their bi-weekly reviews, we of course hope to have a whole new load of grounds to review next season.

First Impressions of the stadium, parking, ease of entry. | 7 | Home Park is an older established ground with a capacity of just over 16,000. Away fans are accommodated in the Barn Park Stand which is the opposite side of the ground to where the coaches dropped off. There is a free public car park next to the stadium which gets very busy. |
Food & Drink, range, quality, price. | 8 | The kiosk on the concourse served the usual footy fayre and alcohol was also available. There was an early bird discount which was very good value. Outside the turnstiles was an away fan area with food & alcohol available. |
View from your seat, any poles in the way, obstructed view, seat broken? | 8 | The Barn Park Stand is behind a goal giving an unobstructed of the pitch. Wheelchair users were located within the same stand. |
Home team support, was it a library, good banter between the fans? | 8 | The attendance for this fixture was 15,644 which was excellent for a televised match with an early kick off. Home fans could be heard throughout and there was plenty of friendly banter between the two groups. |
What were the stewards like, helpful and friendly or jobsworths? | 7 | The stewards were friendly and helpful. Initially the stewards in the Barn Park stand were insistent that supporters sat in their allocated seats, but they gave up as the numbers increased. |
Toilet facilities, clean and well equipped with hot water, disgusting. | 7 | The toilets were clean but there was no hot water. Long queues for the ladies. |
Ticket pricing, did the price reflect the facilities of the ground? | 6 | An adult ticket was £25 which is one of the more expensive in League 1 and didn’t reflect the facilities. |
Ground facilities, half time service, did they let fans outside at halftime? | 8 | The main concourse area is under the stand so protected from the elements and fairly spacious. Fans were allowed out to smoke. |
Match atmosphere, did the Dons fans give good support? | 10 | The 1,313 Dons fans in attendance were in good spirits making plenty of noise throughout with the assistance of the drum. Excellent support from all who travelled, you’ve been fantastic all season. |
Ease of exit, did the carpark clear quickly, traffic around the stadium? | 6 | The coaches were waiting outside the away stand at the end of the match. Our exit from the car park and the surrounding roads was very slow. |
