As you know we do not run our normal matchday service for the PJT games, mainly because it is impossible to know how a team are going to approach a match, a full-strength team or a complete change from the weekend games, who knows, probably when clubs start taking it seriously, we might be able to run something like our regular league coverage.
We of course are still running our Ground Guide for Charlton which can be found HERE.
Another thing of certainty is we can tell you who the ref is for the game, and we can confirm it is Lee Swabey from Devon who will be clocking up a decent mileage claim on top of his match fee, and the question from us is why drag him all the way from Devon for a game like this, there must be hundreds of refs eligible to cover this living less than hour away from the Valley.
Mr Swabey has reffed just fifteen games this season dishing out 33 yellow cards, 0 double yellow offences, 1 straight red, and has awarded 4 penalties.
The last time we saw Ref Swabey was back in March 2021 when we suffered a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Blackpool, Harry Darling got caught in possession by Jerry Yates who then rounded Fisher and calmly rolled it into an empty net.
Mr Swabey will be assisted by Damith Bandara and Daniel Bonneywell on the flags with Sam Allison as the 4th Official.
