After a week of frustration, anger, and feeling betrayed we must now put that all behind us and move forward with the League 1 season kicking off on Saturday afternoon, and for us a trip to Bolton.
Lewie will be taking the helm as Interim Manager with the possibility of Dad Ray at his side, Ray being spotted at midweek training down at Woughton, so the lino and the 4th official should not expect a quiet opening to the football season.
In the middle we have Martin Coy from County Durham who we last saw in our 1-0 home win against Portsmouth in April of last season. For the record Scott Fraser converted a first half penalty after Etan Laird was upended in the box. The win pulled the Dons 7 points clear of the relegation zone and denied Pompey going into the playoff spots.
Last season Ref Coy oversaw 31 games in which he dished out 82 yellow cards, 0 double yellows, 4 red cards, and just 6 penalties.
He is assisted by Paul Newhouse and Hristo Karaivanov on the flags, with Tom Reeves performing the 4th official duties.
