Back to the bread and butter of the League 1 calendar, and we once again dig through the record books to see what we can find out about the man in the middle for our Wednesday night game with Charlton Athletic down at the Valley.
Andy Davies from Hampshire is the man under the spotlight, and this will be a rare sighting of Mr Davies as he usually officiates Championship games these days, with this only his third game at this level this season.
The last time our paths crossed was a very disappointing occasion for Dons fans as we lost 4-0 at home to local rivals Posh, and that was back in August 2019. It was a poor day for Tisdales team as they failed to record a solitary shot on target, with Peterborough romping to victory with goals from Maddison, Toney and a brace for Eisa, and the final whistle brought on a barrage of booing, from those that remained in the ground. For the record there were just two bookings that day, Harley and Boateng.
Ref Davies has officiated at 10 games this season dishing out 18 yellow cards, no red cards, and awarding 3 penalties.
Andy Davies is joined by Robert Hyde and Lee Venamore on the flags, with Carl Jackson-Fitch as the 4th Official.
