We are pleased to share our accounts for the 2023/24 season, which includes the away travel project that we had the pleasure of running. Alongside this update, we have included an additional document outlining the travel income and costs in detail.
The travel project was never intended to generate a profit. However, despite significantly lowering prices from the previous season, we are proud to report a surplus of £4,996.13—a testament to the hard work and dedication of the travel team. This surplus demonstrates the efficiency and commitment of everyone involved in ensuring that away travel remained accessible and affordable for our supporters.
The shop in Lewington’s continues to generate a steady income, and our thanks go to Amanda and Kieran for their efforts on matchdays.
As of now, the current balance in the association’s account stands at £8,883.06. As mentioned in our previous updates, the MKDSA operates as a not-for-profit organisation. Therefore, the committee will be engaging with the club, our members and supporter groups to discuss the best ways to allocate these funds for the benefit of our supporters and the wider community.
Bound hard copies of the approved accounts from our accountants Hickeson Boyce will be available for review in the MKDSA shop located in Lewington’s. Additionally, dedicated members of the committee will be on hand to answer any questions in person.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to working together for the benefit of our supporters and local communities.
