Dons travel to the Cherry Records Stadium to face AFC Wimbledon for a much anticipated matchup
Our last game in League Two saw us beat Newport County 3-0 thanks to first half goals from Dan Kemp, Jack Payne and Alex Gilbey, and we could have easily had have more with offside goals for Ellis Harrison and Dan Kemp ruled out early in the second half
AFC Wimbledon last game in League Two saw them travel to famous MK bogey side Doncaster Rovers and this ended in a 1-0 win to the Rovers thanks to 3rd minute goal from winger Hakeeb Adelakun.
The last time we faced AFC was back at Stadium MK under the floodlights on January 23rd which ended in a 3-1 and quite eventful win for MK. Similar to Newport three early first half goals contributed by Dan Kemp, Warren O’Hora and and own goal by AfC centre back Ryan Johnson were followed by an early goal for the opposition Adam Little but ultimately any form of a comeback was destroyed after Max Dean was brought down twice through on goal in the space of 8 minutes and this saw red cards for Huseyin Biler and Paul Kalambayi
The last away trip for MK was back in April 2022 where it ended in a 1-1 draw with an early first half effort from Alex Woodyard cancelled out a beautiful 80th minute volley by Troy Parrot assisted by skipper and legend Dean Lewington
Speaking of Dean Lewington, this leads me on to team news for MK in which the skipper serves the second of his two match ban, and Max Dean, Jack Tucker and Filip Marschall remain out
Predicted XI is Kelly Lofthouse Norman O’Hora Harvie Tomlinson Bate Payne Kemp Wearne Gilbey (C)
Predicted score: AFC Wimbledon 1-4 MK Dons
Big game today, Come on you Dons 👏
