By Chris Turner, The MK Fellas

It’s matchday, and here’s your breakfast MK Fellas preview as MK Dons face Accrington Stanley for the Dons 30th league fixture of the 2023/24 League Two season.

MK Dons come into this game sitting in 6th off the back of a 1-0 defeat away at Barrow last time out. A respectable, classy finish from Cole Stockton was enough to spell defeat for the Dons.

Accrington Stanley slipped into 11th place off the back of a 0-0 draw to Grimsby Town last time. They have won 2, drawn 2, and lost 1 in their last 5 league outings.

The last time the two teams met was Mike Williamson first game in charge, and Accrington Stanley won that 1-0 after a Shaun Whalley finish in the first half.

MK have never lost a game to Accrington at StadiumMK and the last home meeting between the pair was last season, which ended 1–1 after an Ethan Robson goal and a late Sean McConville penalty split the points between the teams.

Dons come into the game with 3 wins and 2 lossss in their last 5, but we haven’t lost back to back game this season yet, so this will hopefully take the pressure off.

Nathan Harness and Max Dean still remain out with their longer-term injuries. Jack Tucker, Stephen Warren, Cameron Norman, and Matt Dennis are not expected to feature but could be back sooner rather than later, and Ellis Harrison is fighting for fitness ahead of the game.

Our predicted XI is:
Marschall Lofthouse Williams O’Hora Lewington (C) Tomlinson Robson Payne Gilbey Tezgel Kemp

Score prediction from me is a 1-0 Dons win, with Tezgel to grab one on his full debut for the Dons.

This will be a tricky game, but it is winnable and should be one we are winning at this stage of the season.

Onto kickoff at 3pm, see you all there.

Come on you Dons!
