Ryan’s Ref Review Accrington Stanley

By Ryan Willshire, MK Fellas

This week, we find ourselves back at Stadium MK to face Accrington Stanley after 275 fans travelled to watch MK Dons lose 1-0 at Barrow.

It is fair to say that we can see the difference in the side without Max Dean, but we are not a one-man team. If we want promotion, we need to work without him for the time being.

On to DECLAN BOURNE. Throughout his time so far, he has refereed 15 games, giving out 68 yellow cards, with 2 becoming red and 2 straight red cards.

Declan became an EFL ref during the COVID season. In the 2017/18 season, he only refereed one game. In his first season as an EFL ref, he refereed 31 games. The first game he refereed for us was MK Dons vs Hull City, which we won 1-0. Scott Fraser was the goal scorer.

He has refereed MK Dons three times and Accrington Stanley also three times. The last time he refereed an MK Dons game was an EFL Trophy game against Joey Barton’s side, Bristol Rovers, where we lost 4-1. Our goal scorer was Mo Eisa.

The assistant referees are Stephen Finch and Ryan Head, and the fourth official is Aaron Farmer.

Hopefully, we can go on Saturday, earn the three points we deserve, and move closer to the automatic positions.
