Accessibility Guide To Newport (Casnewydd)

We know we have been to Rodney Parade twice before but have not written reviews so these details are from Newport’s website and our memory!

Blue Badge Parking
There is no parking for away disabled fans at the ground. The nearest parking is at Maindee Primary School, (next door to the ground). There are 5 accessible parking spaces there reserved for away fans. It says to reserve these by contacting your own Club.

As this is not the usual way to reserve parking at away grounds, we would suggest if you have any difficulties, contact Newport for further details office@newport-county.co.uk tel 01633 415374.

Official Away Travel Drop Off/Pick Up
See details provided by MKDSA. In the past the drop off/pick up has been in local streets with a short walk to the away entrance as there is no coach parking at the stadium.

Accessibility of Public Transport in Newport
Detsils available at https://www.newport-county.co.uk/club/fans/disabled-supporters-association/ under the Transport tab, in relation to the local rail station, buses and a walking route from the rail station to the ground.

Seating Areas in the Ground
On our last visit the area for away wheelchair fans was at the entrance to the away stand. Unless there have been improvements which we cannot find evidence of it is completely uncovered. We recall that when we were there in bouncing rain, we were gratefully relocated to a covered area in the home stand opposite. The only details we can find about easy access seating is “ask for front row seating”.
