The Dons finished the month of August at the top of League Two and accordingly the panel that decides things judge it menat they couldn’t really give the award to anyone else.
Wins away on the openg day by 5-3 at Wrexham followed up by wins over Tranmere (1-0) Colchester (3-2) and Doncaster (2-1) were only soured by a reversal at Crawley 1-2 saw the Dons take 12 from 15 points.
