Dons Downed in the first PSF

Do pre-season friendlies count ? Some say yes, and some say no.

It would be fair to say that Wealdstone are further ahead in their pre-season tonight was their third game. They beat Brackley Town on Saturday.

Our squad trained this morning and are in for a double session tomorrow. Those who have seen Graham Alexander work the players are saying that he has pushed them to a level, not seen in quite a few seasons.

For sure, what you’d want to see is cohesion, understanding, and desire. I’m not really sure we saw that in big enough quantities to leave us satisfied.

Our starting line up were expected by many to swap at half-time with another second-half eleven.

With the Dons 1-0 down to the National League hosts from a bit of keeper clanger by debutant Harness. The changeover took place at around the 65 minute mark.

The highlight was a sweet strike by Max Dean on the turn with nine minutes to go.

Dons then let the back infront almost immediately, but to fair it was a decent finish.

In other news tonight, our hosts on Saturday, Barnet beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at The Hive.

See you Saturday for the double header.
