The Donny and Mooie Trophy Burton Albion

Groundhopper travelled to Pirelli Stadium for the final league game of the season, only Burton could topple Accrington Stanley. While GH was predictably upset by the result they remained professional and completed the task. Groundhopper, enjoy the summer off. See you on the League Two Tour 23/24 very soon.

First Impressions of the stadium, parking, ease of entry.7The Pirelli is a relatively new stadium with a capacity of 6912 with parking available on site. The coaches dropped off in the car park on the opposite side of the ground to the away entrance. Entry to the ground could have been speeded up if more turnstiles were open. Searches were being conducted.
Food & Drink, range, quality, price.8Alcohol was available in the bar located at the rear of the terrace. Adjacent to the bar is a kiosk which sold hot food etc including burgers, sausages & chips etc. Prices were reasonable. Those located in the south stand had access to their own kiosk.
View from your seat, any poles in the way, obstructed view, seat broken?8The view from the stand and terrace is good and close to the pitch. Both are covered.
Home team support, was it a library, good banter between the fans?6The attendance for this fixture 5021. The main Burton support were located at the opposite terrace and made little noise.
What were the stewards like, helpful and friendly or jobsworths?7 The stewards were friendly. They were eager to burst our balloons but I saw no reason to confiscate the inflatables that made they way to the front of the terrace.
Toilet facilities, clean and well equipped with hot water, disgusting.4The toilets located on the outer concourse. The light in the ladies worked intermittently, the floor was flooded with water, the hand dryers didn’t work and there was no hot water.
Ticket pricing, did the price reflect the facilities of the ground?8Adult tickets were £22 to sit in the Carling South Stand and £18 to stand on the Russell East terrace. Good value and I believe no price increase on last season.
Ground facilities, half time service, did they let fans outside at halftime?7 The concourse area at the rear of the terrace stand is open to the elements. Fans were allowed out to smoke. Wheelchair users are located with their own fans in front of the East terrace.
Match atmosphere, did the Dons fans give good support?10There were 1698 MK fans who were magnificent backing their team throughout the game by making plenty of noise with the aid of the drum.
Ease of exit, did the carpark clear quickly, traffic around the stadium?7 Exit from the ground was straightforward with the usual delays in the car parks and surrounding roads.
