Dons come away with a valuable point against 10-man play off chasing Pompey after drawing 1-1 at Stadium MK.
Connor Ogilvie gave the visitors the lead Pompey after a first time finish on the volley past Cumming. The visitors controlled proceedings until Joe Morrell’s sending-off in the 39th minute.
Into the second half the Dons with the man advantage, controlled the game despite barely testing the Pompey man between the sticks.
But with 65 gone, Eisa found a way past the keeper after his calm finish below the keeper levelled the match and extended the Dons’ unbeaten run to five games. The Dons took their foot of the gas after levelling and didn’t test the keeper again, however ex AFC player Pigott had a glorious chance to win it for Pompey just before time when he curled an effort from the edge of the box onto the top of the crossbar.
The draw sees Dons go 5 games unbeaten, amassing 11 points out of a possible 15. They sit 19th, 3 points off of the relegation zone but most teams below do have a game in hand. Work to do still but remain out of the drop zone and in control of their destiny going into the final 6 games.
Next up is Derby County away on Easter Monday!
