In this episode Groundhopper got to experience Accrington for the first time in a little while. I wonder what they thought about it?

First Impressions of the stadium, parking, ease of entry. 9The Wham stadium is located in a predominantly residential area and has a capacity of 5,450. Parking for the coach was on the road near the away supporters entrance. There some limited parking available nearby for a donation or in the nearby streets. Everyone we met was very friendly and having arrived early we were invited into Coley’s bar which opens at 1230. The bar is a new, impressive facility and very reasonably priced.
Food & Drink, range, quality, price. 8Hot food, pies only but very good, alcohol, hot drinks etc were available in the away kiosk and good value. Deals for pie and a pint etc. The kiosk is in an open area but there is some shelter provided from the elements.
View from your seat, any poles in the way, obstructed view, seat broken? 8Away fans had a choice of standing on the open Coppice terrace or taking a seat in the adjacent Eric Whalley stand. The view from both areas was good and unobstructed. Those of us on the terrace avoided most of the showers predicted for the afternoon.
Home team support, was it a library, good banter between the fans? 7The majority of the noise made by the home support came from those located in the home terrace.
What were the stewards like, helpful and friendly or jobsworths? 8The stewards were friendly and helpful.
Toilet facilities, clean and well equipped with hot water, disgusting. 7The toilet blocks at the rear of the Eric Whalley stand are relatively new. The toilets at the rear of the Coppice terrace weren’t so pleasant.
Ticket pricing, did the price reflect the facilities of the ground? 9£20 for an adult whether seated or on the terrace is an increase of £5 on last season but still good value.
Ground facilities, half time service, did they let fans outside at halftime? 7As previously stated away fans are allowed access to Coley’s bar. The concourse area at the rear of the seated stand is partially covered and so at risk to the elements. There’s no shelter available to fans using the open terrace. I can’t confirm whether fans were allowed to smoke.
Match atmosphere, did the Dons fans give good support? 9The attendance for this match was 2465 with 290 away supporters. Credit to the MK fans who got behind their team with the aid of the drum.
Ease of exit, did the carpark clear quickly, traffic around the stadium? 8 There were the usual holdups as traffic cleared from the roads around the ground.
