Sheffield Wednesday in review
Sheffield Wednesday twice came from behind against The Dons at Hillsborough Stadium as they put Mark Jackson’s men to the sword.
Two goals from Michael Smith, Josh Windass, Lee Gregory, and George Byers erased superb strikes from Jonathan Leko, and Mo Eisa.
Attacker Leko struck a thunderbolt inside the second minute after a gutbusting run from around 25 yards out, Josh Windass levelled 7 mins later, latching onto a long ball and lobbing the ball over the advancing Jamie Cumming in the Dons’ goal.
Eisa put MK Dons back in front on 24 minutes, slotting past Owls keeper Cameron Dawson with ease.
From then on it was all Wednesday as the Owls dismantled their guests with relative ease. Had it not been for the saves from Cumming it could’ve been much worse.
How Dons could line up:
Mark Jackson could choose to abandon the much maligned 4-2-3-1 which has seen the side ship 10 goals in 2 games. Alternatively, a 4-3-3 could be utilised as the Dons look to shore up a defence severely letting the club down on the pitch.
Possible Dons starting XI:
Cumming; Watson, Tucker, Jules, Harvie; McEachran, Devoy; Leko, Dean, Kaikai; Eisa.
How Tractor Boys could line up:
Kieran Maguire favours the 4-2-3-1 attacking formation.
Possible Tractor Boys starting XI:
Walton; Clarke, Woolfenden, Burgess, Davis; Morsy, Humphreys; Burns, Chaplin, Broadhead; Hirst.
One’s to watch:
Jamie Cumming – Goalkeeper: The only man saving the Dons from a double digit hiding of late. The Cheksea loanee will be crucial in keeping the score down at home to Ipswich.
Conor Chaplin – Attacker: Tractor Boys 14 goal top scorer, their talisman in attack he will look for the slightest opening when through in goal. Definitely the man to stop.
Score Prediction:
MK Dons 1 Ipswich Town 3
A defeat here against the promotion chasing Tractor Boys.
