Away Ground Guide Bolton Wanderers

The 28,723 all seater University of Bolton Stadium (BL6 6JW) and is a journey of 169 miles from SMK.

This impressive ground was opened in 1997 as the Reebok Stadium and is a daunting sight when coming off the M61, it has an eye-catching design and is unlike anything else in the country.

One unusual feature is that the teams make their way out of separate tunnels either side of the halfway line.

Away fans will be in the two tiered South Stand, the views are great, with a clear view of the entire pitch.

The Beehive, is the pub of choice for away fans and is about a 15-minute walk to the ground, with alcohol also served at the ground. For food options, the normal football fare is available inside the ground. In addition there are eateries such as KFC, Nando’s, Burger King, Subway and Pizza Hut right next to the ground.

Parking is available at the ground for £7, and there is also parking in surrounding businesses from about £3. Overall, the average price seems to be £5.

Horwich Parkway Railway Station is the closest to the ground with a walk of just a few minutes.
