It was with a really heavy heart I met with Roger and Josh Wilmin before the Lincoln game yesterday. It was great to see them as always but not today. We used to sit in the Corner together when StadiumMK opened in 2007.
Today Roger made the decision no father ever wants to make. He made a donation of Dons memorabilia that meant a lot to his late son Harry. Harry passed away in 2022 and it was a stark reminder seeing his name scroll on the scoreboard in today’s remberance of the supporters lost to us last year.
Roger brought in 5 rather large boxes of programmes and other items to us, they were that heavy he needed a trolley and used the lift. Some of the items were immediately identified as “unsellable” we were stunned to see some of the collection.
James Rees, shop manager thanked Roger and Josh for their magnificant and completely selfless act. He would ensure this sacrifice of Harry’s beloved collection would bring massive benefit to good causes and Dons fans in general as he will maximise the potential of the items to be sold.
James was stunned to see something he thought was just a myth which will be going up in Lewington’s as soon as possible with a dedication and along with a framed shirt with Harry’s name on that Roger will be bringing in soon, another never to be sold MKDSA possession.
Harry will always be remembered and honoured by the MKDSA.
