MK Dons Appoint a New Head Coach

By Alfie Marlborough gives us the first insight into the new leader

News from StadiumMK …..

MK Dons have announced the appointment of Mark Jackson as the new head coach following the Sacking of Liam Manning.

Mark Jackson has spent the last seven years at his hometown club, Leeds United as a coach. The 45 year-old has managed the academy teams of Leeds before being promoted to a first team coach by Jesse Marsch following his arrival to the Yorkshire side.

In 2018, Jackson led the Under 18s to First Place in the Professional Development Northern League title.

In September 2020, Jackson took charge of the Under-23 side following the departure of current West Brom and former Huddersfield Town manager Carlos Corberan. He saw great success with the U23 side who were champions of the Premier League 2 Division 2. The team maintained an unbeaten record at home through the entire season.

The Current Leeds coach has been praised highly by manager Jesse Marsch who has described Jackson as an ‘amazing guy’. He has also highlighted how big of a blow it would be to Leeds should the 45 year-old have departed Leeds for Buckinghamshire.

We’d like to welcome Mark to MK1 and hope the fans get right behind him and the teams he selects in the remainder of the campaign as we aim to achieve safety and look to build to next season, hopefully he’s backed with signing’s in the transfer window that opens shortly.
