Following contact from The Foxes Trust late on Friday we asked them if they could give us a candidate for Trash Talk. That duty fell to life long Leicester fan Kate Thompson and here’s what she had to say, her own words not those of the trust.
Are you content with Leicester start to the season?
After an awful start we have started to pick up dramatically. I just hope the team that played when the season was paused continue in the same vein!
Are you happy with what you have seen so far under Brendan Rogers ?
Yes, I was never in the ‘Rodgers out’ camp even at the worst of our slump.
Which players do you expect to cause problems for the Dons on Tuesday ?
If they play, I would say Harvey Barnes, Patson Daka and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Are you happy with Leicester transfer activity from the summer and which signings have impressed you the most so far?
It was very disappointing but I go back to the days when a signing was an occasional event, and more than one club has shown that signing a hatful does not guarantee success – often just the opposite.
Who or What made you support the Foxes And what’s your highlight so far following Leicester ?
I was born in Leicester and lived there until 31 years ago, so there was never any question of supporting a different club. My personal highlight was winning the FA Cup, which I thought I would never see.
What style of play can we expect to see from Leicester on Tuesday ?
It rather depends on the team. I hope we will put a strong one out to avoid
embarrassments like losing to Wycombe Wanderers and Newport County.
If you could have any Dons player, who would it be?
I’m afraid I am unaware of any of your players – sorry!
Harvey Barnes. Universally loved at Stadium MK in his brief spell and probably unlucky not to go to Qatar, how high is his ceiling ?
He has started to add goals and assists to his game and he certainly is not the finished article yet, but he frightens the living daylights out of even the best defenders with his direct approach.
Which Leicester game are you most looking forward to this season? The Boxing Day fixture is always one of my favourites, no matter the opposition.
What was your thoughts on MK Dons this season ?
I was surprised to see them struggling, as I have been impressed with the team in previous seasons. And you have one of the best stadiums I have been to.
Every fan loves a trip to Wembley is this a realistic way for Leicester to achieve that?
At one time, we seemed to go there every year – either for the League Cup or the play-offs. I’m glad that Rodgers got the message very clearly that Leicester fans love a good cup run.
Are there any weaknesses in the squad you would like addressed in January?
Having lost Justin when another full-back, Pereira, is just coming back from a serious injury, we need another full-back. I think it is pretty well known that we need a right winger, as since Mahrez left, this is an area where we haven’t had much impact.
