MK Dons, MK Dons SET, Foxes Trust, The MKDSA Supporting The MK Foodbank

By The MKDSA Media Team

Shortly after taking charge as Acting Chair Franco was contacted by Ian Bason, Chairman of the Foxes Trust on Friday morning with an unbelievable offer.

Every year The Leicester Fans group Foxes Trust working alongside Leicester City FC run a Christmas Campaign to combat food poverty.

Thing is these Leicester fans put a twist on it. Its not just about their community its about wherever they may be. It’s amazing to hear that when they visit us on Tuesday night they are bringing 20-30 bags of donations on one of their supporters coaches for families in Milton Keynes.

These Leicester fans have history of this sort of thing, we simply couldn’t say no or let them down. Last year working with Spirit of Shankley the Foxes turned up at Anfield for their Premier League fixture with a donation for their community, by a twist of fate their fixture on December 30th takes them back to Liverpool where they will be repeating the donation all over again (in addition to donating to us)

So literally at 7am on Friday morning Franco put the wheels in motion to ensure this totally selfless act wasn’t going to go unsupported. Emails flew across MK to the Football Club, MK Dons Set and The MK Foodbank and back at forth in that Can Do way ….

In less than 12 hours a plan involving five organistations began to be put into being. Arrangements were made to recieve the Leicester donation with almost military efficiency at the away end. The donation point for home fans will be at the SET bus parked by the Gate 5 side of The Marshall Arena before entry to the ground.
