Accessibility Update Peterborough Away

By Jo and Jeff Newall, MKDSA Disability Officers

Due to it being a relatively short distance to Posh and its seasonal timing, we are thinking that those who may not go regularly to away games may be considering this one. Based on our experiences of numerous visits to London Road over the years, the Club’s & Level Playing Field’s (LPF) website, here are what we think are the key accessibility details:
Blue Badge Parking £10. Limited spaces available. You need to book asap via Posh’s ticket office on 01733 865674.

There is also parking for blue badge holders in the Fair Meadow City Council car park opposite the stadium. (albeit we have no experience of this).

Accessible Official Away Travel
As usual the Dons will be providing a wheelchair accessible mini bus as part of the official away travel (same as the coach prices). Contact Don’s Box Office for more details and to book.
Easy Access Seating
LPF says there are 208 easy access seats, sorry no further details. If you need further info ring the Box Office at Posh on the above number or email luisa.dangelo@theposh.com
Provision for Away Wheelchair Users at Peterborough
8 bays each with a carer seat alongside in front of our own fans, pitchside. Good view as no one walking in front but the bays are so tight that if you are at the far end and want to go to the loo, everyone to the left of you has to move to let you out and back in! Area under the stand where the provisions are is small and often congested. One accessible loo.
Audio Descriptive Commentary
Available free to away fans. Book pre-match the same as the parking. Collect from the main reception which is close to the away entrance. You need to complete a form but staff will do it for you if you ask.
