Sadly the Dons Academy U18’s went to Southend United in Round Two of the FA Youth Cup,
The Young Dons went down 3-2 with both MK’s goals coming from Joel Anker.
The Dons went 0-1 down after 25 mins. three minutes later Joel Anker pulled the Dons level with a superb freekick.
Southend went 2-1 up on 35 mins, the Dons then missed a 44th minute penalty to which Southend used it to their advantage to immediately make it 3-1. Which was the half time score.
Joel netted his second in the first minute of the second half and it was hoped the early goal would lead to a revival. Unfortunately the Dons couldn’t breach the Shrimpers defence again and bow out in round two.
