2’ – Opening chance falls for the Tykes, as Phillips finds the ball in the box but scuffs his effort.
6’ – The Tykes looked like scoring but for a superb Zak Jules block from close range.
18’ – BARNSLEY GOAL – 1-0 – After a few attempts, Barnsley score the opener. Jordan Williams puts it in after a lofted ball falls to him at the back post.
24’ Luca Connel saw a volley go inches wide, which was given as a goalkick, but looked like Cumming got the slightest of touch to push it wide.
27’ – Eisa breaks away down the middle, has a great chance to level, but for a excellent challenge from Kitching to divert away from danger.
40’ – MK DONS GOAL – 1-1 – Barry takes the ball down the left and finds Mo Eisa in the box, and slots past Collins to level the match.
44’ – The Tykes almost respond immediately through Williams but his volley goes wide.
HALF TIME – Barnsley 1-1 MK Dons
49’ – BARNSLEY GOAL – 2-1 – Adam Phillips scores as he loops a header past Jamie Cumming.
67’ – BARNSLEY GOAL – 3-1 – The Tykes make it three after the referee awards advantage for a foul in the build up, Herbie Kane wrong foots Jamie Cumming from distance.
78’ – Barnsley try a shot from distance but Cumming does well to palm it away.
88’ – Dons should score after several players in the box scramble to shoot, only for the ball the be pushed away by Collins.
