It was a tale of two penalties as MK Dons Women made a long overdue return to StadiumMK to face the undefeated league leaders Oxford United.
The Dons gave a very good account of themselves as they battled against the current best side in the division and could consider themselves to be unlucky to go in 0-0 at half time.
Oxford won and scored their penalty in the 82nd minute but unfortunately Nicole Pepper sent her spot kick over the bar as The Dons were awarded a penalty for a push in the box in the 89th minute.
“The Dons had lots of chances but missed that final touch. Lots to learn from and develop from this game” was the tweet from @mkdonsfcwomen at full time.
