REF WATCH BRISTOL ROVERS

By WhistleBlower

I just want a quick look back at Mr Woolmer on Saturday, my initial reaction was a straight red on Devoy, now after seeing the replay I’m not so sure it was, anyway I will mark him a 7 out of 10.

The ref in the middle for Tuesday night versus Bristol Rovers is no stranger to MK Dons, so welcome Scott Oldham from Lancashire, so I doubt very much he will be driving home after the game, hope he enjoys the luxuries of the Double Tree, hopefully they can find a seat for him.

This season he has overseen 10 games booking 28 players with 0 double yellow offences and 0 red cards and just the 1 penalty.

Last season Scott took charge of 34 games booking 100 players, 0 double yellows, 2 red cards, and 5 penalties.

We saw him twice last season and we won both, first of all in the 1-0 home win versus Buckinghamshire rivals Wycombe Wanderers back in September. Anthony Stewart felled Troy Parrot in the box earning him his marching orders, and Troy duly dusted himself down and fired home from 12 yards.

The other was a memorable win down at Portsmouth in January winning 2-1, and who can forget that. Mo Eisa tucked away an O’Riley pass coolly but it was the “Canadian Magnifico” Theo Corbeanu that stole the headlines when he hit a ferocious shot from 20 yards that cannoned in off the underneath the crossbar to stun the Pompey faithful. George Hirst pegged one back on the hour, but it was only thanks to debutant Jamie Cumming who pulled off a stunning save in the final minute to give the Dons victory.

Grant Taylor and Conor Farrell will be assisting on the flags with Declan Ford as the 4th Official.
